Free Talk: Yellowstone - Yesterday & Today

Join the Buffalo Bill Center of the West on Saturday, December 7, during the Holiday Open House, for a talk and book signing by Bob Berry, who collaborated with Paul Horsted on the photography book, Yellowstone: Yesterday & Today. The free talk takes place in the Coe Auditorium. Bob will also be with us all day both days of the Holiday Open House to sign copies of the book at our Points West Market.

Yellowstone: Yesterday & Today showcases 103 rare and historic images from throughout Yellowstone's history, paired with modern views of the very same locations. Many of the historic images appeared in print for the first time in this book, the first edition of which was published in 2012. Among the photographers represented are some very familiar names, such as William Henry Jackson and F. Jay Haynes.

Reprinted just this year in its fifth printing, the book is a collaboration between Berry, a collector of historic photographs, and Paul Horsted, the photographer who took the modern views. As the jacket points out, "This book will be a delight to anyone who enjoys the beauty and history of Yellowstone National Park, and who wants to continue that experience from afar."

Bob Berry has resided in Cody, Wyoming, since his semi-retirement more than a decade ago. He and his wife Robin operate Robin's Nest Bed & Breakfast, where they host visitors from all over the world. Bob and Robin also guide their guests on private tours of the wonderland that is Yellowstone National Park.
