Name:
Advance health care directives esplained at PVHC
Date:
February 11, 2016
Time:
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM MST
Event Description:
Lorraine Steppe of Powell Valley Healthcare will present a free program, “Advance Health Care Directives,” on Thursday, Feb. 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program will be held in Powell Valley Healthcare’s Sun Room, 777 Avenue H, Powell.
Advance health care directives are valuable for individuals and their family members. An advance health care directive speaks for an incapacitated person when they cannot. When an unforeseen medical emergency occurs it might be impossible for an individual to express his or her desires for health care. Steppe will explain how to execute an advance directive and how medical care providers use such a document.
“PVCE is very grateful for Lorraine’s willingness to share this valuable information with the community,” says PVCE’s Certified Program Planner Ingrid Eickstedt. “This free course could save a family from undue anxiety in an emergency.”
Sign up or find out more at www.MoreLearningFun.org or call Powell Valley Community Education at 307-754-6469. Pre-registration is not required, but is appreciated.
PVCE programs are provided by Park County School District No. 1 Board of Cooperative Educational Services (PCSD No. 1 BOCES), created by an agreement between Northwest College and Park County School District No. 1.
