Event Description:
Join Sue Blankenship as she shares her experience that began by volunteering at an animal refuge in Thailand and eventually ended up at the center of a political conflict over poaching and abuse. After developing a close relationship with the animals on the refuge, she joined other volunteers as they tried to stop Thailand’s Department of National Parks from wrongfully taking animals off the refuge in response to the refuge’s stand against poaching and animal abuse. Stories, pictures and more will make this an eye-opening evening that the entire family can enjoy.
