Event Description:
The annual Arbor Day Celebration will take place on Thursday, April 17 and Friday, April 18. The event takes place both days at The Commons, 135 North Bent Street in Powell. The event is free and open to the public. Thursday will be School Day from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. Friday will be Public Day from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Tree City USA Award will be presented to the City for the 24th consecutive year. Displays and demonstrations on tree care, planting and maintenance will be provided. Free tree seedlings will be given and a drawing for two potted trees will be held. Questions can be directed to the Powell Parks Department at 307-754-6971.
