Event Description:
Learn how the Bighorn National Forest’s archaeologist and a group of volunteers spent four 10-day sessions surveying the high mountain passes and lakes of the Cloud Peak Wilderness. More than 45 prehistoric Native American Archaeological sites have been recorded that are 10,000 feet above sea level and date from 8,600 to 200 years ago. This program will include photographic documentation and an open discussion period. Bring your questions.
