Event Description:
To begin the celebration of National Library Week April 13-19, a reading and book signing event by Teresa Jordan is scheduled at the Powell Branch Library on Friday, April 11, at 7:00 p.m.
Teresa is the author of several books about the American West, including the ranch memoir,"Riding the White Horse Home," Jordan will talk about her latest book and a work-in-progress, a book-length chronicle of one woman’s attempt to master a second tongue later in life, "Learning the Language: Close Encounters of the Spoken Kind."
This program is brought to the community free of charge and is sponsored by the Friends of the Powell Branch Library.
Following the program, refreshments will be served. The Basin and Range Bookstore will have a number of Jordan’s books available for sale and signature by the author. Community members are asked to use the library entrance on Clark Street to reach the meeting room.
