The Bighorn Basin of Wyoming contains extensively documented fossil-bearing deposits that date from 550 million years ago (Cambrian Period) to the present. These include world famous outcrops that contain dinosaur bones and tracksites, ancient marine reptiles, and primitive mammal fossils.
Cliff Manuel, chairman of the Bighorn Basin GeoScience Center of Greybull will focus on the famous dinosaur, marine reptile, and other fossil discoveries – past and present – that have been collected in the basin, and the history of some of the famous paleontologists that were involved, including Dr. Barnum Brown’s 1934 Howe Dinosaur Expedition for the American Museum of Natural History.
