Name: Charles Lewis Memorial Day

Event Description:
Charles Lewis began working for Powell in 1922. He was town marshal and street & water commissioner. The development of Powell's infrastructure was overseen by this man. He served in World War I in France and also chased Pancho Villa with General Pershing in Mexico. Lewis was killed in the line of duty in 1939.
 
His ultimate sacrifice will be honored at 1 pm in the Wyoming Army National Guard building in Powell with a gravesite service to follow.
 
All are welcome to celebrate this unsung hero's life.
