Event Description:
 Please join the Heart Mountain Interpretive Learning Center (ILC) staff in welcoming guest speaker, Sam Mihara on January 23, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the ILC.  Sam was born and raised in San Francisco, California and moved to Heart Mountain during World War II. After the war ended, Sam’s family returned to San Francisco. He attended UC Berkeley and UCLA, where he obtained graduate degrees in engineering. He became a rocket scientist and later, director of new business with The Boeing Company.  Sam is now retired and enjoys fly-fishing in Alaska, New Zealand and Argentina.  His most recent project is to document and give talks about his memories of being evacuated and his life at Heart Mountain.

Heart Mountain Interpretive Learning Center between Powell and Cody on Highway 14A.
