Event Description:
Individual classes will have their get together on Friday evening June 30th.
Friday June 30th
9:45 Meet at the Heart Mountain Reclamation Center for a tour. We'll go as a group, $7 each. There's a great video then wander about and view the great pictures and buildings of the sight .
2-4 Homesteader Museum open house. Great artifacts of all the times of Powel through the years! You might even find a picture of yourself in there!
Friday night event at Plaza Diane by the classes of 88' and 93 for all PHS graduates!! Great idea for us all to attend!
Evening Individual Class get togethers throughout Powell (The class of '68 is starting early so might not be a late night!) Let the Tribune know where you're at just in case there's pictures to be taken!!!
Saturday July 1
7 am PHS Volleyball Team sponsoring a 5K run. Meet at the legion early for a 7 am start time. Support the team!!
8-10 Breakfast at the American Legion Hall by the Rotary Club. Come and mingle with all the graduates!
9:30 Meet at the Homesteader Museum after breakfast for a power point presentation of Powell by Brandi.
10-1 Friends of the Library Poker Walk. Get your entry forms at the Powell Library up to a week in advance and at the Commons Saturday morning. $10 fee best hand wins $100! Hands must be in at the Library no later than 1 pm. Businesses this year include the 3Zero, Good Vibes, Powell Drug, Cut & Sew, Heartworks, Habitat Restore, Queen Bee Gardens and the Rusty Skunk. Make sure to come out and support these businesses as they support the Library that we all spent some time at!
10-2 NWC Car Show A great turnout last year for the College! Let's see everyone again there! Great cars and great awards!
10-3 The Annual PHS Panther Open at the golf course!! Should be a bigger event this year as we've got a Saturday morning T time!!! Get your class to sponsor a hole for a $100 contribution and get a class team to compete!
Noon -2 Lunch in the Park. Way back when we all got to go to the park for a picnic the last day or so of the school year. The Class of '68 and '70 are hosting a BYOE (bring your own everything) get together at the Pavilion in Washington Park. Each year a few more attend so stop by and say "Hi".
2-4 Brandi will do a repeat of her Open House and Power Point presentation of Powell's history at the Homesteader Museum
4 The Third Annual Cornhole tournament registration opens. We're not competing with anyone around the basin, and looks like its a bigger and better run event than last year. $20 team registration and money to win for the top three teams ! Gregg Bessler will be running the event to make sure its fun and runs smoothly.
5 Cornhole Tournament begins
5-10 Fairground Event Come down and mingle with your fellow PHS Graduates. There's a great menu by Get Loaded for dinner, so bring your appetite. The K-Bar will be serving your favorite beverage, and for your listening or dancing pleasure, Mr. Good Tunes will be playing your favorite song from when you were at those Friday night dances! Make sure to go up and request your favorite music
Sunday July 2
11-1 Friends Forever, a duo of Michael and Donna Coy, will be presenting a musical get together at Gestalt (the old Polar Plant). Come and enjoy some wonderful music by a fellow PHS graduate as we wind down the weekend.
