Event Description:
Join us for an expanded series of events from early December 2025 through late April 2026! This year’s Winter Program Series features hands-on workshops led by our Japan Outreach Initiative (JOI) Coordinator, Haruka Takaku, and presentations by our Historic Site Caretaker, Johnny Tim Yellowtail.

New Year is the most important holiday in Japan, and mochi, soft rice cakes, are one of the most important parts. Come to Heart Mountain to learn about how Japan celebrates the new year, and try out several different types of mochi to celebrate 2026!
