You’ve heard the eerie hoots and howls of the night, but have you ever looked a great horned owl in the eye? Perhaps you’ve seen video of the power and beauty of a peregrine falcon in a dive? Here is your chance to see these beautiful animals up close and to learn more about them! Join Draper Museum of Natural History Assistant Curator Melissa Hill and the birds of our new Greater Yellowstone Raptor Experience for a one hour program about birds of prey. Learn the natural history of some of the most spectacular creatures in the Greater Yellowstone region and Bighorn Basin and why they are so important in nature. Live birds will join the presentation for an experience that won’t be forgotten! Participants are welcome to bring cameras for pictures.
