Name: Recycled Denim Lap Quilt Class MONDAY EVENINGS @ NW Fagerberd Bldg.
Date: September 23, 2013 - October 21, 2013
Event Description:
Recycled Denim Lap Quilt Class by Katherine Hooper @ NW Fagerberd Bldg.

For those interested in creating their own recycled denim lap quilt, Katherine Hooper will offer five nights of Monday evening instruction on Sept. 23, 30 and Oct. 7, 14, 21 from 6-9 p.m. in Northwest College’s Fagerberg Building, Room 61. Participants can be of any skill level. There will be the options to either keep the lap quilt made or donate it to charity. Past classes have donated lap quilts to the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan after they are displayed in the Powell Health & Safety Fair.

Hooper will supply instruction and plenty of recycled denim. Participants may incorporate denim from their own family’s retired jean collection as well. Sharp scissors are needed for the first class, and students will need to bring their own sewing machine and extension cord for each class following. Cost is $30 to keep the lap quilt or $10 if the quilt is donated to charity. Skill level is from beginner on up.
