Name: Safety in Bear Country
Date: April 11, 2011
Time: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM MDT
Event Description:
The Yellowstone Ecosystem is bear country. Living here means it is necessary to take extra precautions to avoid having problems with large predators. This class, taught by Wyoming Game & Fish professionals, presents information which is important for us to understand why bears, particularly grizzlies, are defensive and at times get aggressive. Participants will learn how to avoid encounters, what to do in the event of an encounter situation and what practical bear deterrents to consider. Please call PVCE at 754-6469 and tell us if you plan to attend. Bring your family and friends! (The folks from Wyoming G&F always bring spectacular props that impress their audiences. A bear spray demonstration is promised!)
