Event Description:
Homesteader Museum will host former CIA office and Powell Resident, Pat Stuart for a presentation and book signing of her second Determined Women book, THE NEW PIONEER. The memoir celebrates Stuart's mother, Marolyn Brand, who ignored conventions in the 1950's to build a cabin on her own on the North Fork outside Cody, Wy. Other chapters covered include living at the Heart Mountain Relocation Center post WWII, her father's job with the Shoshone Reclamation Project and more pioneer women of the Wapiti Valley. Books will be for sale at the event.
