Name:
"The Resistance" Presentation at Heart Mountain Interpretive Center
Date:
January 26, 2019
Time:
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM MST
Event Description:
Our annual Winter Program Series is back with three more fantastic events! This year we begin with a presentation about the resisters of Heart Mountain.
In the summer of 1944, 63 young draft resisters from Heart Mountain were tried and convicted in Cheyenne. It remains the largest mass trial in Wyoming history. Come and explore the beginnings of the resistance movement that led to this dramatic event.
The Winter Program Series is an annual series of presentations that take place throughout January, February, and March.
All events in this series are included with museum admission. Visitors can also purchase a "season pass" for $9 at the interpretive center, which covers admission for all programs.
