Event Description:

Whether you want to bring your young driver for some safety instruction, witness the evolution of filming history, or reminisce about your own driver education experience, this will be an interesting evening!

Jeff Goetz shows a collection of vintage driver education movies from of the 1950’s and 60’s from the WYDOT archives: Signal 30 - 1959; Mechanized Death - 1960, Highway of Agony - 1969. Discussion will be taken where the audience leads.

Comment about your experiences, how hygiene films have affected America, filming techniques, the debate over whether 'gore' is an effective teaching tool, or wherever else these interesting films may take the discussion.
