The Wyoming Highway Patrol is offering "Alive at 25", a free, four-and-a-half hour driver awareness classroom seminar for 15-to 24- year olds. The course takes place in Powell from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.,Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Northwest College Faberberg Building, Room 70. "Alive at 25" is the only course of its kind in the nation taught exclusively by law enforcement officers. It is a survival course desinged to teach young drivers to take responsibility for their behavior. Students do not need to own a driver license or learner permit to participate. The program addresses the most common causes of crashes involving young drivers: speeding, impaired driving, lack of awareness of the consequences of risktaking behavior, inexperience with the complexities of driving, distractions and pressure from peers in the vehicle. Pizza will be provided free of charge for participants.
