The locals call it JWP Days. You know it as John Wesley Powell Days Festival --- A TWO day festival to celebrate this guy -----> Why? Because, he was the MAN. Founder of Nat Geo, Explorer, Prof., Geologist and Outdoorsman. How we celebrate? Well, we RIDE, we DRINK, we play CORNHOLE, we DANCE and we raise a glass and say here is to you John Wesley Powell Thanks for being our namesake.

Everyone is welcome to this family fun event after school.
Carnival games for all kids ages! Lots of hands on games in the Big White Tent: Bag Toss, Ring Toss, Duck Pond, Ping Pond Toss, Disk Drop, Limbo and Boat Races. Arts & Crafts and lots of hands-on activities.

Register for the kids bike races for Pre-K through 6th grade. Every kid gets a mustache and a metal. Schedule of races on our website - link below.

Bike Challenge course sponsored by Grace Point Church from 1 - 3PM. All kids bring a bike or scooter and a helmet.

Light Party Dance Party! Every kid loves a dance party. Dance in the Pavilion next to the Warming House in Homesteader Park.

When: 1 pm - 7 pm Friday, May 20, 2022
Where: Homesteader Park 1065 E Coulter Ave, Powell, WY 82435
How Much: $5 per child, adults enter for free.
